Super Good News!

Dean found out today that he has been promoted to lead operator on the opposite hitch! This of course means more money (which is definitely a wonderful thing with prices soaring the way they have), but it also means that the next time he goes out he'll be out for 28 days. It's hard on the family for him to be gone that long but even harder on him. He's basically stuck on a floating prison for a month. Luckily school is out and I'm not taking summer courses.

We're both a bit in shock right now...

  1. Congrats on the promotion. I know that it's hard having him away so long when you aren't use to it. It's great that he has a wife who understands and supports his endeavors. Thank you for being that kind of wife. Love you guys and miss you...Does this mean he will be home on the 4th of July? Just curious...excited to see all of you.

  2. Thank for for the compliment, and I'll pass on the congrats to Dean. We are really excited as a family for this and were totally shocked that Dean was given the position. Dean thought he was in trouble when he was called into the office and the foreman shut the door. LOL!

Yes, this does mean he'll be home while you're in town. He will be home from 6/25 to 7/8.

  3. Congratulations to you both! In the economy we live in a promotion is truly a blessing. 28 days seems like a long time, but you've got two little angels to keep you occupied! Plus you've been doing so good on your program, you can wow him when he gets back. I'm happy for ya'll!
